Moiry mountain hut

The Moiry mountain hut is situated in the valley of the same name in the district of Anniviers, in the canton of Valais. Perched at an altitude of 2'825 m, it offers modern comfort thanks to its extension in 2010. It lies at the intersection of most enjoyable high mountain hikes, the nearest ones being the Pointes de Mourti (3564 m) and the Pigne de la Lé (3396 m), and further away the Grand Cornier (3962 m) and the Dent Blanche (4357 m).

It also serves as an overnight stop for the great treks of the Alps such as the Walkers Haute Route Chamonix – Zermatt and others. In the old hut, renovated in 2010, 72 beds are split up in several small dormitories, with toilets and washbasins on the same floor.

In the new annexe, eight four-bedded rooms are at your disposal, with toilets, washbasins and showers on the same floor. The hut is open and attended to from mid-June to the end of September. The attendants, Yvan et Lidia Duc, assisted by a motivated team, take pleasure in treating children and adults by concocting excellent meals with high quality products.

During the Winter, an adequately equipped room with kitchen utensils, dishes, a gas stove and a wood burning cook stove welcomes you in the old hut. Upstairs, 23 mattresses and their blankets will keep you warm.

Summer opening 15th June 2024 to 22nd september 2024
